Terms of Service

By using GenMV ("the Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

GenMV generates AI music videos from prompts you provide, or from a song you upload yourself, and, optionally, publishes them to your YouTube channel or sends them to your TikTok inbox as a draft, at your request. The Service is provided on an "as is" basis and may change over time.

You are responsible for the prompts, lyrics, and other inputs you submit, and for the videos you generate and publish. You represent that you have the rights necessary to create and publish that content, and that it does not infringe others' rights or violate any law.

You can upload a song of your own and have GenMV build a video around it. When you do, you confirm that you own the recording or have permission from the rights holders to use it this way — including any separate rights in the underlying composition. Do not upload commercial music you did not create unless you hold those rights.

To make the video, you give us permission to process your file: to store it, separate the vocal from the instrumental, match your lyrics to the recording so the performer can sing in time, and send the audio to the AI providers that generate the video. We do not use your uploaded music to train models, and we do not publish it anywhere except to your own YouTube channel — or to your own TikTok inbox as a draft — when you ask us to.

You keep ownership of what you upload. You can delete an uploaded song at any time, which removes it and the videos made from it from the Service.

If you believe something on GenMV infringes your rights, email support@genmv.io with a link to the material and enough detail to identify it and to show you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We will review it and remove infringing material. We may also remove uploads or suspend accounts where we have good reason to believe the rights were not held.

You can upload a music video so GenMV can describe its visual style — colour, light, camera, editing, places and wardrobe — as text you can edit. When you do, you confirm you have the right to share that video with us for this purpose. To write the description, we send a reduced, silent copy of up to the first ten minutes to a third-party AI provider, which processes it under its own terms. GenMV deletes your upload and its reduced copy from our systems once the description is written or the read ends. The video itself is never used to make your video, and we describe the style, never the people in it. Reading a video costs the credits shown before you upload, and you are only charged if the description reaches you.

When you connect YouTube and upload a video, you authorize GenMV to upload that video to your channel on your behalf. You must comply with the YouTube Terms of Service and the YouTube Community Guidelines. You are solely responsible for the content you publish.

When you connect TikTok and choose "Share to TikTok," you authorize GenMV to send that video to your own TikTok inbox as a draft. Nothing is posted to TikTok by GenMV: the draft appears as a notification in your TikTok inbox, and you decide whether to finish posting it in the TikTok app. You must comply with TikTok's Terms of Service and its Community Guidelines.

You are responsible for the content and the music rights of what you post. That applies to any video you publish from your TikTok inbox just as it does to a YouTube upload: you confirm you hold the rights to the audio you used — including any separate rights in the underlying composition — and to anything else in the video. TikTok's own rules and its music-usage terms apply in full to whatever you choose to post.

Do not use the Service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful, or to attempt to disrupt or abuse the Service or its providers.

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenMV is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
